System Generalist

Microtask is the hottest startup in Finland, focused on developing a solution for the global distribution of digital labor. We are going to change the way people work, all over the world.

To help us create this solution, we are looking for a System Generalist to join our product development team.

This position sets your inner geek free by allowing you to work on a number of divergent problems ranging from setting up distributed cloud infrastructure, to building automated test systems, to creating customer integration scripts, all the way to optimizing and tuning our platform for ever improved performance and reliability. There's always a multitude of ever-changing small projects going on at the same time, keeping you invigorated and learning new things.

We're looking for a person who loves to create, tweak, tune and optimize software systems, has a keen interest in learning new and improved ways of doing things, has a strong background in working with practical software solutions and systems, and likes working in a group of highly talented and committed professionals.

The person we're looking for is a goal driven, articulate and enthusiastic software specialist with strong interpersonal skills, an attention to detail and a positive attitude. The ideal applicant will also have

• Experience with agile methods and scrum methodology
• Real life experience in working with large scale development projects
• Excellent Java/C++/Bash/Python/Perl coding skills
• Fluent in English and Finnish
